How to send an incoming email to a case.
Send Directly to Case (Bypass Email Review)
- Do this in the case that you receive an email that you want to attach to a case in the case notes.
- NOTE: For an email sent outside of CASEpeer to appear in your account, you must send it from the email address associated with your account. You can find which email is associated with your account under User Settings or ask your Firm Administrator.
- If for any reason the desired email is not in the email inbox associated with your CASEpeer email, forward it to your CASEpeer account before moving on.
- Locate the email you wish to attach to a case.
- In CASEpeer, copy the Case ID of the desired case.
- The case ID can be found under the green arrow dropdown at the top of any page of a case.
- Click on the case ID at the very bottom of the menu to copy it.
- Before forwarding or sending the email, paste the copied case ID to the Bcc field of the email.
- Forward the email as usual.
- Within 10 minutes, the email will attach to the case as a note with the Email category.
